International Missions
Wycliffe Bible Translations
http://www.wycliffe.org/
Through Wycliffe, we are beginning a project that will bring the Scriptures to a Bibleless language group – the Alagwa people of Tanzania. The Alagwa are a group of approximately 40,000 people living in 15 villages who need to know that God loves them and sent Jesus to be their savior – our prayer is that many will come to know Christ. Our initial step is training mother-tongue translators who will then begin the process of translating God’s Word for the first time into the language of the Alagwa.

Stop Hunger Now – Meal Packaging Program
http://www.stophungernow.org/site/PageServer?pagename=Atlanta_Startup
25,000 people die of hunger-related causes every day. Stop Hunger Now’s assembly process combines rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a flavoring mix into small meal packages, providing 21 essential vitamins and minerals. These meals are sent around the world to people suffering from severe hunger. During our last meal packaging program Parkway had more than 125 volunteers who packaged 12,000 meals in less than two hours. Each meal costs $0.25. Watch for details on this special event, start saving your quarters and invite a friend.
At least 10% of Parkway’s budget is allocated to Missions but more importantly, Parkway members are committed to serving others with our hands and feet. Our goal is to spread the Gospel, in word and deed, locally and globally. We encourage every member to find a place to serve others outside the church walls. If you have any questions or would like to find a way to be involved contact Matthew Bullard at 770-889-8694 or matthew.bullard@parkway-church.org.
