We welcome donations of supplies (list on the military table outside of the library) and monetary donations. A big thank you to all who help us. These packages are very much appreciated by our military.
Regularly Scheduled Meeting Times: 2nd Wednesday of Each Month
If you know someone serving overseas, please contact Mary Mac Harrell so that we can add your soldier to our recipient list.
We will meet in the back of the Sanctuary to send around 30 boxes to the military. If you know anyone who is deployed, please turn in their names. We accept donations of supplies and monetary gifts.
The Military Ministry sends 20-25 "goody packages" each month to friends and relatives of our members. Over the past three years, we have sent over 650-700 boxes, more than 20,000 thank you notes and prayer squares to those deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. This helps our Armed Forces feel like a little bit of home, with things they cannot get in remote areas. It also shows our support for them. Monetary, snacks, toiletries, and supplies are donated by members and friends. We meet the second Wednesday of each month at 11:30-1 PM in the back of the sanctuary to stuff the thank you notes and pack the boxes. Be sure to check out the Wall of Honor and the table with thank you notes and a list of needs, which is outside the library.
